[Hackrf-dev] IMSI catcher with HACK RF + raspberry pi

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if someone made an IMSI catcher with HACKRF, I started
with the tuto mentionned below :

but i'm stucked when i have to used wireshark to monitor the communication.

when we run gnuradio-companion and wireshark, the hackrf goes offline, once
we were able to have both but there was nothing on wireshark, we did all
the configuration necessary to come upto the step where we use GNU-radio
companion with the file airprobe-rtlsdr.rc but we don't see anything.

Need help please,

Are a member of the wireshark group?

Can you use wireshark otherwise?

That is, can you capture packets from the network interace?

Hi Simon,
Thank you for your response.
Just to test, we tried the communication with a debian VM and not with
raspberry pi. We got few data on usb port when it is connected to hackrf
but nothing relation de GSM communication which means we got nothing.

It is really hard to run GNU radio and wireshark as hackrf shut usb
communication down right after we don't know why.

It's for our school projet.
Waiting for your expertise.
